Zoo!

When we visited the zoo at the beginning of the summer, we bought an annual pass- it's only a few dollars more than buying admission for all of us.  Now that it's cooling off, we decided it was time to go back.  The older kids had a band competition that day, but we took the four younger ones as a sort of combined Eliza/Annie birthday trip.

Eliza was so much fun this time- she is old enough now to recognize when something is alive, and really got a kick out of the different animals.

I really like the new Rocky Shores exhibit, although the polar bear wasn't putting on a show in the water this time.  The huge sea lion they have (that's him in the window) is awesome- they say he's the heaviest predator in the zoo!

Eliza did great through most of the zoo, and especially the bird show, but then she was done.  Nap time!

Cute kids.  I'm glad they're part of our eternal family!
