Yes, we actually took a road trip for fall break! Since we didn't really go on a trip all summer, we were really looking forward to this one. We drove to Cedar City, checked into our motel, and headed over to SUU campus to show Rebekah around (we figure she needs to check out possible colleges). The kids had a great time with all the statues in the Centrium (I think that's what it's called).
It was a little chilly, but Eliza loved walking around campus.
And apparently, campus has been invaded by an alien species. Glad we didn't step on it- check out that stinger!
Tim and I have been here several times for conferences and plays, but the kids had never been- it was fun to show them around!
After we left campus, we stopped at Sizzler for dinner (where Eliza ate about a pound of macaroni and cheese and oyster crackers), and then the kids got ready for the pool while Rebekah and I left for Les Mis! We gave her tickets for her birthday. I thought that was an awesome idea- because I got to go, too!
It is seriously sad that it has taken me this long to see the play- I spent high school and college listening to the music, and my family saw the play in San Francisco while I was on my mission, but I had never seen it. It was wonderful! Rebekah and I cried through the whole thing along with the rest of the audience. Loved it!
Tim took the kids swimming and then put them to bed- thank you, sweetie!
