BYU day

Since the older kids were gone, the younger four and I decided to spend a day on campus at BYU.  We parked down by the botany pond and went to feed the ducks and turtles.

Cute duckling!

When we were done there, we walked up the new path to the testing center, past the Maeser building and Kimball tower (this deer seemed to think campus was a great place to hang out), and to the library.

We explored the newer section of the library for awhile (and took advantage of the air conditioning), and then headed over to the art museum and sculpture garden.  From there we crossed the street to the waterfall and stayed there until I couldn't stand the sun anymore.  We walked through Heritage, passing my old hall (Fugal!), and ended up at the Creamery on Ninth for ice cream (or brownies for some of us).

We ate sitting on the berm of the law building parking lot, and then walked through the Wilkinson Center (admiring the bowling alley and games center), and all the way back across campus to walk down the new and improved lower campus trail.

I've always loved this area of campus, but it's even better now- I love the waterfalls!

All in all, we were on campus for about 5 hours- and had the sore feet to show for it!  It was a great way to spend the day with my cute kids. :)
