Memorial Day 2011

As we often do, we met Mom and Dad Walker to put flowers on graves.  This is Ethan by Richard Steele's grave in the AF cemetery.

I have to include this picture, because something momentous occurred here- this is where we decided what the name of our new baby will be!  Tim and I had been trying to find a name with family significance, and when we came to Tim's great-grandmother Eliza Wilde Buckwalter, we had found the name.  Grandma Buckwalter is the only grandmother that Tim's Mom knew growing up, and we're excited to be able to name our baby after her!  So now we know what to call this cute bump- Eliza!

Josh and Rebekah by the Steele graves.  It's pretty neat that we have so many ancestors  from both of our families in the same two cemeteries- it makes Memorial Day more meaningful for us!

Annie chose to put her flowers here- this is the wife of Henson Walker that we are descended from, I think.

My kids love that our ancestor, Henson Walker, was the first mayor of PG- it gives them a feeling of being anchored, I think.

Emma Lucile by her Grandma Lucile's grave.
