Long End-of-Year Post

Emma had an Activity Day girl's Mom/daughter dinner.  The girls choreographed and performed a dance for us- they were pretty cute.

And now that I'm looking at these pictures, that skirt is pretty short for her.  Oops.  She also wore makeup that night.  It wasn't my fault, I promise.  She was all excited to get dressed up for the dance, and came to me to ask her if I would help her put on makeup.  When I said no, she went to Rebekah.  Older sisters have to be good for something, I guess. :)

Yes, I got exactly one picture of Ethan before my camera batteries died.  This was at the 4th grade Utah Pageant.  It was awesome- songs, skits, and square dancing.  Ethan was a cricket  in the pioneer /seagull story.  The whole thing was very fun- and a lot of work for all the 4th grade teachers, I'm sure.

End of year band concert- Josh with his trombone in beginning band.

Price is in the back left on percussion.

And here you can actually see both of them at the same time.

I'm not sure how I managed to miss getting a picture of Rebekah on stage, but here she is walking off, still playing, in their last number.  The symphonic band was awesome- they had special effects: smoke, light sabers, and gorillas, believe it or not.  What a fun way to end Rebekah's junior high band experience!

And Annie graduated from kindergarten!

Receiving her diploma,

Taking the whole thing very seriously.

With Alli.

Still way too serious (afterwards, she said, "Mom, was I good?"  I think she equates serious with good.  I'm not sure how I feel about that.  It makes me wonder how much of her personality she is squelching for the sake of being good in school!

With Mrs. Herman, her awesome kindergarten teacher!

Emma's last soccer game of the season.

With her team, the Fireballs!  They were awesome- and so fun to watch!  Emma improved a ton this year, and she'll be back with the same great coach next year.

Annie's soccer team (minus a couple).  Ben was the best little kid coach ever- Annie LOVES soccer because of how he makes it fun.  Sharks and zombies are a regular part of practice. :)

I never did get pictures of Ethan's team- bummer!  They were great, too. Unfortunately, their coach will be moving up to competition league next year- and Ethan isn't ready for that.  Since he can't be on the same team, he has decided to take a year off and try flag football.  That means that this fall, along with a brand new baby, we will have 2 kids in soccer, 3 in flag football, and 1 in marching band.  Guess we'll see how that pans out....
