| Ethan's 10! His birthday was on a Sunday, and we don't have church until 1, so he decided to open his presents in the morning. |
| Ethan's request: chocolate cake, vanilla frosting with chocolate swirls on top. |
| I managed to not get any pictures of the group- we had both sets of grandparents, Matt and Jenni with Abby and Tommy, Ben, and Grandma Shipley there for dinner, and Peter and Mary came the night before with presents. It's great to have a built-in crowd for events! For the record, I look a lot more pregnant now than I was then. |
| The traditional happy birthday banner- we've been using this since we were in the Azores, and it hasn't worn out yet! |
Ethan is such a great kid to have in our family- he is super smart, and if you want to know anything about birds of prey, just ask him. He wants to be an ornithologist when he grows up. He definitely has issues to deal with because he is a middle child, but he has managed to carve out his own niche despite the challenges. He is his own person, and is becoming someone great!
