High Adventure

What?  It's only been 3 months since I posted.  Yeah- I've got just a little catching up to do.  Sorry about the million posts that are about to appear.
This is the boys when they got home from their High Adventure trip in June.  It was awesome- they built their own kayaks out of wood and canvas, learned (briefly) how to pilot them, and then took them down to the Green River and kayaked down.  They also hiked the Black Box, which is a slot canyon in southern Utah that is a pretty intense hike, I hear.  You get down into it, and there is no way out except to go through and out the other end, some ten miles downriver.  They LOVED it.  What is it about taking boys and letting them do crazy hard things that brings out the best in them?  They have amazing leaders, too- and we're so glad all of the other boys in the teachers quorum didn't turn 16 until the end of the summer- they really adopted Price and Josh and welcomed them into the group.  I don't have any pictures of the actual trip, since I didn't send a camera with them (yes, we really need a second camera for the kids), but we did get to go see a slideshow of the trip, and it looked way fun.  I love our wonderful scout leaders!
