We didn't exactly have a white Christmas this year, but the dry weather made it possible for us to go on a hike on Christmas Eve! Normal weather patterns probably won't let this become a tradition, but it was awesome. I would love to do it every year!
We hiked from our backyard over to Battle Creek Canyon, and then up to the waterfall. There was actually a little snow on the ground in the canyon (only where the sun doesn't hit), and there was ice all around the creek. It was beautiful!
The waterfall was gorgeous- the pictures don't do it justice.
This was my view of the waterfall- from the trail. I was afraid if I went down the hill to the falls I wouldn't be able to get back up with the baby!
So fun! If there's snow next year, maybe we'll have to find snowshoes for everyone and do it again!
