This recipe is a taste of my childhood- we had rice pudding every Christmas Eve, and probably other times, too. As far as I know, the recipe exists (at our house at least) on an ancient blue notebook divider page. I'm recording it here so it's easier to find when I need it!
The recipe says "Mom's Rice Pudding", but she was my Grandma- so the name is changing!

Grandma's Rice Pudding
Scald 2 c. milk-
beat together 1/2 c. sugar, 2 eggs and 1/2 t. salt.
Stir into milk.
Mix in 1 1/2 c. cooked rice and 1 t. vanilla.
Add cinnamon and nutmeg if desired.
Bake in a water bath at 350 for 50-60 minutes,
or until a knife inserted in the middle comes out clean.
If you're making this for Christmas Eve, add one whole almond- whoever gets it is the designated present-hander-outer on Christmas morning.
