Camping at Currant Creek

At the end of July, we went camping with Grandma and Grandpa Walker. You wouldn't know that from the pictures, however- I managed to not get them in a single photo! Despite my photographic shortcomings, however, we had a great time. Currant Creek (west of Strawberry Reservoir) was beautiful, and the camping conditions were perfect- we had a shady campsite, the weather was temperate, and we were across the street from the playground and bathrooms.

Here's the setting (that's Currant Creek Reservoir you can see in the distance):

Setting up the boys' tent. Camping is a lot more fun now that the twins are scouts- they have lots of camping experience, and take care of a lot of the work!

Rebekah!

We had lots of success fishing from Grandpa's new boat. Here's Price about to clean his own fish:

Annie took this awesome picture- it's a close-up on the fish cleaning.
I love the water droplets!

I had to include this picture, because it is proof that I actually cleaned a fish. By myself. Price was quite impressed.

This is the standard Rebekah pose wherever we go. She usually brings two books everywhere so she will have something to read if she finishes the one she's on!

Emma and Annie collecting firewood. They were highly motivated since we had stuff for s'mores and woof-em's.

More fishing success!

On our way to the beaver dam:

and trying to see the beavers. They never came out, but we got a few good minutes of silence out of the effort!

This was a great camping trip- we'll have to go back next year!
